I don’t whether it will confuse anyone else, but i did get confused, hence thought to comment.. its a dmg file and not iso
hey prateek, nobody said that this was an iso in the first place. you must be confused when you see the word “HOTiSO” on the title. well, it is the name of the scene/group/team who releases the software. if you see the nfo file, it is clearly stated there that the format of the software is dmg.
can I install this directly ?? Or do I need first to burn it ??
Dmg being the equivalent to Windows exe – I imagine you just double click and install
As long as you are running mac osx 10.6 (Snow Leopard) it will install from the dmg file.
There is a way to make a bootable disk from this, but you need to be running Mac os x anyway, (Just search on the internet for “make a lion bootdisk” for instructions).
It won’t install as is on a non-Apple hardware i.e any bog-standard Wintel PC, and you’d be best searching for a Hackintosh install if that’s what you want to do.
Really, this is just going to be of interest to people who own Macs running osx 10.6 or possibly 10.5 if their hardware can cope.

hey guys, i would like to format completely my macbook pro in order to clean it and then install this version of mac osx, can someone explain me how to do it ? because from now on i can only reinstall the system by using recovering hd and downloading from the app store (problem is i don’t have any official install cd).

It is only $29.95 on mac.com, not that i want to pay them any more money but, if i really want the new os I don’t want all my shit to lock up when system updater finds it’s a hack. if you get it never update ur OS on system updater, that’s how they catch you ie FCP 7
Ashley james …. . dmg has nothing to do with .exe … .dmg is a disk image like iso … mac os x version of .exe is .app … just saying
Thank you just did a clean install with this dwnld via usb on a new hard drive on my 2008 17′Macbook Pro. Works perfectly. Took me a caouple a minutes to figure how to mount the bootable install to usb… and it worked
