First they use the wrong video frame rate, now they use the correct frame rate but use an even lower bitrate and postage stamp resolution xD

yes – thanks for the effort – but the frame rate and compression are horrible. Pretty much unwatchable unless you are desperate to see this movie.

First forget this version. For the reasons stated above. Grab the Original “The Descendants 2011 SCREENER XviD – ZOMBiES” release and do the following it takes a meer 5 minutes..
The Descendants 2011 SCREENER XviD – ZOMBiES is repaired by the following:
Free Download “AVIDemux” (a simple google search)
Open with AVIDemux, Select unpack bitstream at prompt. Click the Video tab and set Frame Rate to 23.976, click OK. on the main screen in the Audio section, click Drop down and set to AC3, check the “Shift box” and set to +330 milliseconds. Save by (Ctrl-S). save it as is .avi. if it saves as .file simply rename it to AVI or Mkv. which ever you prefer. and whulla! FIXED! Perfectly Sync’d. This one has the best video, so it makes sense to get the audio fixed on this one.
Prestige has released a 1.4GB 2 CD version that is pulldowned, in sync. AR is slightly cunted – 2:25 vs 2:35. Hmmm, pikachu gangbang.

Solution: download both versions, play both at the same time and mute the first one! Problem solved.

thank you quick fix for your tutorial on how to get the frame rate and the audio sync right. i would like to add something: if you also wish to get rid of the aspect ratio problem, get a little software called MPEG4 Modifier (it can change the ar without re-encoding). once you’ve got it (i have v.1.4.4) load the avi-file and then click on ->”Display AR”->”2.35:1″-> Save… that’s it!
Alternatively remux into a mkv using mkvmerge GUI, using 23.976 FPS, audio delay 330ms. and display width/height 846x360. Takes about half a minute.
