Excellent episode, couldn’t agree more.
Acutally, they picked the most retarded arts to call bullshit on.
Go take a jiu jitsu or a Muay Thai class (not shown in this episode) and you’ll quickly learn it translates well to the streets.
Karate, TKD, Tai Chi are a joke. But these don’t constitute all of the arts.
If you want to learn to take care of yourself on the streets, SAMBO is all you’ll ever need. None of this hocus-pocus faux Asian spiritualism. And the point about criminal prosecution they make is very valid. If someone is out to get you, get a gun and protect yourself. If you live in an area where you feel your life is in danger, move. Additionally, if you are trained and you do kick someones ass, in court that will be used against you.
